Characteristics of glass reinforced plastic sand pipe

Excellent mechanical properties


With small proportion (1.8~2.1g/ ★ g/ ★ 3) and high strength (≥300MPa), GFRP pipes have a much higher specific strength than steel pipes and cast iron pipes. With the addition of resin mortar in the middle layer of the pipe wall, GFRP pipes can greatly improve their rigidity and are suitable for laying in all kinds of soil environment and sea bottom.


Excellent hydraulics


The inner surface of the fiberglass pipeline is very smooth with low friction resistance (n≤0.0084), which can significantly reduce the pressure loss along the pipeline and increase the flow rate. In the case of the same flow rate, smaller pipe diameter or power transfer pump can be selected, thus reducing the initial investment of the project and energy consumption (reducing the operating cost).

FRP pipes with different pressure levels and special properties can be made by changing the material selection, winding Angle and layering design to meet different working pressure, medium, stiffness (or embedding depth) requirements.

Smooth inner wall does not scale, do not breed algae and other microorganisms, no secondary pollution to water quality. Pipes made of food grade resin can be used to transport drinking water.

The single length of FRP pipe is generally 12 meters, using double "O" sealing ring socket connection, each interface can be tested pressure, sealing reliable.


◎ light weight, easy to transport and install


The weight of GFRP sand pipe is only 1/4 of ductile iron pipe of the same specification and length, and 1/10 of cement pipe. Convenient transportation and loading and unloading, high installation efficiency and low cost.
